Eating healthy doesn’t just help you look better; your heart, joints, and immune system will all thank you. More importantly, when you are the driving force of your company, maintaining your health is vital.

 

The good news is, transitioning to a healthy diet doesn’t have to be hard. A great way to start is to establish a stash of healthy, easy-to-grab snacks right in your office.

 

For the 90 Day Boost Your Business and Your Health Challenge, we thought up healthy on-the-go snacks that will fit into your busy schedule, and we organized them based on how much time you have to spare:

 

YOU HAVE NO TIME: You are literally running out the door at this very moment. The only thing you have time for is a snack as fast as you are. 

  • A hand-full of Mixed Nuts (or Trail Mix)
  • Yogurt (maybe in a squeeze tube so you can leave the spoon behind)
  • Hardboiled Egg: Of course pre-boiled and pre-peeled
  • Chips –Make your own! We found a quick and delicious recipe for crispy cinnamon apple chips by walkerkr on Allrecipes.com.

 

YOU’RE SNACKING WHILE YOU WORK: Forget about whistling, you’ve got a hot minute to grab something and get back to the grind.

  • Carrots + Hummus: Use the carrots like chips and the hummus like dip. It’s delish.
  • Cut up Fruit + Dark Chocolate Shavings
  • Whole Wheat Crackers + Avocado Slices: Like bite-sized avocado toast.
  • Trail mix –Make your own! Greatist.com provides a great DIY healthy trail mix recipe guide by  Sophia Breene.

 

YOU HAVE A FEW MINUTES TO PREPARE: Finally, you have a brief moment to enjoy a deep breath and some good food. 

  • Pita + Hummus + Cucumber Wrap: This is one of my favorites. Simply spread hummus over a tortilla, add fresh slices of cucumber, and wrap it up!
  • Yogurt + Granola + Fruit: Parfaits are quick to make and oh so satisfying.
  • Ants on a log: Let’s be real, you can’t go wrong with this classic combo of celery, peanut butter (or cream cheese), and raisins.
  • Cottage Cheese + Fruit: We found the perfect cottage cheese and fruit delight recipe for you on Food.com

 

Eating on the go shouldn’t slow you down. Your diet should give you the energy you need to plug in one more meeting each week. These snacks will help you get that healthy boost of energy and be delicious enough to keep you from betting tempted to revert back to the vending machine.
